Audio of Songs I've Written...

This is a collection of songs I've written over the years, from adaptations of the movie "Pleasantville" and Doris Kearns Goodwin's autobiography "Wait Till Next Year" to a new Christmas song, a celebration of Muslims in American history and a LIVE performance at Symphony Space in NYC.

Songs from "Pleasantville"

These are songs from a musical adaptation of the film Pleasantville, with muisc by Fred Thaler, book and lyrics by Robert Yarnall, based on the film by Gary Ross. Rights pending.

"Why Would I Ever?" - Live at Symphony Space, NYC

Sung in front of a live audience, with Bishop John Shelby Spong as the "headliner" this original song of mine features Jesus as a swingin' nightclub singer wondering why he'd ever come back here. John Prestianni on piano.

"All American" from The Ten Year Test

This song is part of a musical sponsored by the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. In this song, children tell of the many notable American Muslims in hisotry. Music by Craig Baldwin, lyrics by Robert Yarnall, produced by Brooklyn Children's Theater.

"A Cockney Christmas"

I wrote both music and lyrics for this new upbeat holiday song. John Prestianni on piano.

Doris - from Wait Till Next Year

From an original musical based on Doris Kearns Goodwin's autobiography of growing up a Dodgers fan in Brooklyn in the 50's. This song features a young Doris imagining how she'll save the day and help the Dodgers turn the season around. Music by Daniel Israel, lyrics by Robert Yarnall, book by Sarah
